The little green lighting before Illidan went full power, the green blood coming down his hand when he stopped the blade….it's the little thing's that make this cinematic pretty awesome.

The great thing about this is what it's saying without directly saying it–
Illidan, through everything he's done and been through, is visually and spiritually malformed. His eyes were burned out. He grew demonic wings and horns and hooves. He's mastered forbidden and occult magic. He's a complete outcast– all because he knew what was ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY to prevent the coming defeat.
Everyone else, and even us to an extent, simply don't get it. Illidan knows all angles and has explored every option– and only one thing remains painfully obvious: literally no one is coming to help. You have to fight for yourself, or else you lose more of what makes your life worthwhile.
