Dragonflight Patch 10.1 is only one week old after its official release on May 2nd. The new patch and the new season are finally over. World of Warcraft devs have been especially chatty and revealing a lot of new features left and right. Thanks to this, we know what to expect after patch 10.1.
In the first episode of WoWCast, a show that stars WoWs greatest developers and discusses the current events of the game, lead game designer Maria Hamilton revealed that a day after the Embers of Neltharion began, we should expect to learn more about the masterplan of Murozond and Nozdormu, and the evil monsters.
After that we did some storylines for the Green Dragonflight, there’s an encrypted thing that gonna talk about another Dragonflight, then we got the timey-wimey stuff. Many things need to be excited about, Hamilton added.
While learning more about the Dragonflight of Infinite, Morchie, Murozond and Iridikron is far from surprising and seems a natural development of the story, it will be interesting to see how the Blizzards narrative team fits Galakrond into all this.
Galakrond is the early progenitor of the dragonkind that eventually started chasing and devouring their own kind. But, Alexstrasza, Ysera, Nozdormu, Neltharion and Malygos were putting the bill on Galakrond. Since Galakronds passed, these five Proto-dragons became Dragon Aspects.
So, while the event of the Infinite Dragonflight hasn’t fully developed, and the storyline of Galakronds lies in the past, it’s going to be very tough to bring back this infamous dragon and satisfy the player’s expectations. However, Blizzard may use timey-wimey stuff to protect themselves, and tyranny and naive reassurance to confront the heemonie era when the Aspects fought Galakrond. In fact, nothing is set in stone.
For the best part, if you don’t know, they can help you pass the deadline in Patch 10.1.5, or in Patch 10.1.7, or in Patch 10.2. And yet, we have a long way to go before the story of Dragonflight begins unraveling. We need to unpack Patch 10.1 first, which comes on May 2, 2.
