This expansion has given World of Warcraft a new lease of life, so fans are excited to learn how dragonriding is all about, and that will make all fans think of the game again because of new talents, and time-disaster content. Even though players weren’t pleased with Blizzard Entertainment recently, fans still enjoyed the player count, especially since Wrath of the Lich King Classic on September 26, 2022 and Dragonflight on November 28, 2022.
In Feb. 7, Blizzard Entertainment shared its quarterly reports. According to the quarter financial report from 2022, the company managed to increase monthly active users by 14 million. To say that, the number of users increased from 31 million in the third quarter of 2022 to 42 million active monthly users.
When watching Dragonflight sales numbers, the new dragon-themed expansion didn’t hit the same number of sold copies as Shadowlands did in 2020. On the flip side, Dragonflight has far better subscribers retention figures than Shadowlands, so more players have continued playing the game after the dust settles on the release.
Since the effort began to improve, the company promised to work on follow-up content in order to keep the community involved in the experience that is called Dragonflight. Blizzard announced plans to deliver more follow-on content during the expansion than previously; post-launch subscriber retention in the West is higher than recent expansions.
It is worth noting that Shadowlands is a most-sold game of all time with 3,7 million copies sold on the first day. The game was released during the Covid-19 lockdown, when gamers had more time to kill. Even though the Dragonflight sales haven’t reached the height of the Shadowlands area, the sales numbers are not surprising.
