The live version of Scarlet Monastery graveyard (left) is much more desolate than its new version in Patch 10.1.7 (right).
The most interesting part of this change is that it only applies to this specific section of the Forlorn Cloister, rather than the entirety of the Scarlet Monastery, though without any other updates or context to explain why it may have changed.
The Pumpkin Shrine is a prominent feature seen only in the Headless Horseman version of the Scarlet Monastery.
However, we do know that Hallow’s End is a focus of the fall Holiday Refresh, including the addition of a new broom mount, and that the Headless Horseman uses this specific tract of the Graveyard for his special encounter, making it seem very likely this change is related to the holiday and giving us a small amount of hope that perhaps these Holiday Refresh updates could be more than simply a few new rewards!
