World of Warcraft Dragonflight have published 10.1.7 on July 13th, so the new patch is quite exciting. Though we don’t know how to find a date for these days, a dungeon with Patch 10.1.7 might be getting a hard mode.

According to a post published from Wowhead on July 19th, Headless Horseman encounter, which only happens once a year to celebrate Halloween in WoW, is becoming a revamped event. The site found data on the PTR of new achievements that indicate that there will be a new version of this boss, the Bring Me The Head of Oh Wait achievement that is awarded if you defeated the Headless Horseman before the holiday refresh 2023.

This iconic and beloved dungeon could be gotten a Hard Mode because the datamined files contain a new spell for only the boss of the dungeons. The spell is called wypermans aar eastern as it would be to reduce his health by 10 percent per stack.

If you ask me, then it would likely happen next time. For example, with the Dragonflight Patch roadmap, it says Hallows End, and Brewfest, are all the first to remember and refresh for an extended holiday.

The Headless Horseman encounter was introduced in the year before the Burning Crusade and remained silent all the time. This holiday refresh is a great opportunity to expand the fantasy of the event and to add more flavor and loot to one of the all-time favorite bosses in the WoW world.
