Showcased here are the new parallel chest straps and updated gauntlets, without underlying chest armor, pants, and gloves (see below).
For our preview below, we’ve included the Forsaken tabard to help highlight these chest straps, which are actually part of the belt model rather than the chest armor, thereby allowing them to sit overtop of the tabard. The new gauntlets also add small spikes to each knuckle, in addition armor covering the forearm.
The original version (left) is now joined by another with parallel straps (right), on the boneless male model.
Interestingly, there are now two versions of the armor, featuring the different chest straps, rather than one appearance replacing the other entirely. This implies that it may be an entirely separate option for players, although it could be related to some other detail. As this appears to be a rather small detail on an otherwise very busy model, we are leaning towards speculation that one version may be for Forsaken with bones showing and the other without, though we do not yet have any confirmation of that.
The original version (left) is now joined by another with parallel straps (right), on the bony female model.
For reference, Blizzard’s original preview showcased the unornamented undershirt chest armor (sans tabard), while lacking gauntlets.
