By comparing relative healing metrics from past expansions, we can get a more thorough understanding of some of the healing issues that have arisen in Dragonflight. What is the relative power of a healer compared to a DPS? What’s the ratio of a healer’s throughput compared to an allies health?

These metrics help underscore how powerful healers are in Dragonflight and yet how spiky the damage needs to be in current raids in order to pose a threat. This leaves very little margin for error for healers to combat that spike damage. Additionally, when bars are being topped so quickly, healers often feel superfluous and unnecessary leading to a really unfun healer meta.

What do you think about the state of the Healing in Dragonflight? Does healing and damage need to be adjusted to similar ratios of previous expansions? Do you think Blizzard can address these issues in Patch 10.2’s Season 3 or will healers have to wait for the next expansion?
