• Beginning with release date speculation, Dratnos and Tettles discuss evidence that points to the patch launching around or shortly after BlizzCon, though this of course there’s a great deal of uncertainty. With 10.1.7 going live in just one week, we hope to soon have Patch 10.2 on the PTR with more information.
  • Moving on to discuss Mythic Plus, the Season 3 Dungeon Rotation is still unknown outside of the two Dawn of the Infinite wings, with Dratnos speculating that Everbloom and Darkheart Thicket may be candidates to continue the Emerald Dream theme setup in Patch 10.1.7. Another question is how many Dragonflight specific dungeons will show up in Season 3, and whether it will be limited to just the newer Dawn of the Infinite wings or include returning dungeons from Season 1 or 2.
  • Raid content comes next, with PTR testing likely to begin soon after the launch of Patch 10.1.7 on September 5th, hopefully with raid testing soon after. Aberrus’ raid difficulty was a frequent point of discussion early in 10.1, but Tettles and Dratnos believe the raid finished in a good place and would be fine with a new tier feeling similar, minus some specific missteps with a few of the later bosses.
  • Gearing is another big topic of discussion, and something that Blizzard may look to nerf, though hopefully not by too much and majorly targeting the very dedicated players rather than more casual ones. Tettles proposes a system whereby crests become easier to acquire as the patch goes on, such as increasing the amount of fragments that drop from dungeons and bosses by 1 per week to increase catch-up acquisition, rather than just catch-up totals. The Great Vault is also a topic of discussion, with Tettles debating overhauls to allow the targeting of specific high-value items, like trinkets that players end up rolling for week after week.
