A new questline concerning Chromie, Nozdormu, and a sworn enemy of the Bronze Dragonflight is now available. We completed the No Limits questline to bring you the details!

WARNING: Patch 10.1.7 story spoilers ahead!

After you have completed the Shandris Feathermoon 10.1.7 quest, as well as the Dawn of the Infinite megadungeon questline ending with Dawn of the Infinite: Chrono-Lord Deios, head to the Seat of the Aspects in Valdrakken and pick up the quest, No Limits, from Chromie, who will be standing alongsize Nozdormu at the top level.

Chromie thinks there is a chance of getting an Infinite on our side regarding Murozond, if only they can get to know her. Chromie set up a meeting and we get to go along, just because… what could possibly go wrong with this plan!

Chromie says: Eternus is lost–a lot like you were, Nozdormu. If we can help her…
Nozdormu says: Then perhaps she will see out point of view. I will go to her. Thank you, Chromie.

You meet with Eternus in a quiet spot behind the Temporal Conflux. For those who don’t remember, Eternus is the infinite dragon that Chromie fought with and went on a time-twisted adventure with during the Thaldraszus storyline.

Nozdormu says: Eternus, I am honored you accepted our invitation.
Eternus says: “Honored… accepted our invitation.” Such formality. I suppose I should not be surprised.
Nozdormu says: It is no secret that our flights view our timeline differently, but I had hoped to meet to discuss peace between us.
Eternus says: Peace? You have no idea what drives us, Nozdormu. Why we embrace the infinite’s ethos.
Nozdormu says: Then help me understand. I seek to mend the rift between our peoples. Tell me. What was your reason, Eternus?
Eternus says: My reason? My reason is Moraidormi.

Eternus says: Moraidormi is–was–my sister. She died at the hands of the Black Dragonflight. I wanted to save her. I was denied.
Nozdormu says: Sometimes moments in time must stay as they are for reasons that are not readily apparent.
Eternus says: I have turned that moment over and over in my mind. There is nothing. Not one reason why she should have been lost to me.
Nozdormu says: Then show me, Eternus.
Eternus says: So be it. And if my sister can be saved, then you must concede that the infinites’ point of view is valid.
Nozdormu says: Grief. It hurts us all. And sometimes it blinds us. But I hope, for what it’s worth, that she is right.

Time to hop into a Time Rift and see what Eternus is on about. The time rift takes us to a moment frozen in time. We are in the Ruins of Uldum in Tanaris. A dragon is stopped in time before us. Dragon eggs sit on a ledge.

Time starts to flow and you see that Moraidormi is Bronze, as are the eggs. A large Black dragon rushes in and kills Moraidormi with one breath.

Eternus says: Moraidormi made her last stand here. That monster killed her.
Eternus says: But it does not have to be that way. We can change the past and save her!

Nozdormu feels that perhaps we are not quite getting the full story here.

Nozdormu says: What do you intend to change, Eternus? We should tread lightly here.
Eternus says: I will do what I must, Nozdormu.

Eternus explains that the reason her sister could not be saved was that she was too close to the Caverns of Time when she died and using time magic this close to them could be a bad idea. But now, she points out, the Bronze Dragonflight has possession of the artifacts that can rewind time. So turn time back, save the dragon. Easy.

Eternus says: Nozdormu, you can easily rewind time, can you not?
Nozdormu says: Yes, though I will use the Chrono-Lord’s artifact to reduce the pressure on the timeline. Join me, <player>.

Time winds back, Vexemia sucks in her breath, Moraidormi gets to her feet. Vexemia runs backwards out of the room. Then it begins again…

Eternus then attempts different strategies, like having us join the fight against Vexemia, and shielding Moraidormi so she can withstand Vexemia’s deadly attack, but they all end with the same fate – Miraidormi dying. Nozdormu suggests they just watch…

Nozdormu says: Let time flow as it will, Eternus. There is something you must see.
Eternus says: You expect me to do nothing? While my sister dies?
Nozdormu says: Please Eternus. It is unpleasant but… indulge me just this once.
Eternus says: But Moraidormi will die again. We need to act now!
Nozdormu says: I will rewind time again myself, if this does not go as I foresee.
Eternus: You expect something different from doing nothing? No. I cannot watch… I’m pausing, I need time to think…

Again, you watch the gruesome vignette play out.

Eternus says: She is dead AGAIN. Why did you make me watch this?
Nozdormu says: Go to her, Eternus.
Eternus says: What?

You and Eternus go over to Moraidormi’s body.

Moraidormi died to save the whelpling that hatched during the confrontation. As Nozdormu explains, Moraidormi chose to die because she believed in the future of the bronze dragonflight.

Eternus says: Moraidormi wanted the child to be safe. And the eggs. I… must respect her choice.

Nozdormu points out that if you dwell in the past, you miss out on the present and future. The time fractures will heal… with time. Time to return to Chromie…

But Nozdormu hangs back. He kneels by Moraidormi…

Nozdormu says: In our hearts. And in our future.

…and her body disappears in a beam of bronze light.

Back in Thaldraszus, you update Chromie on what happened.

Nozdormu would like to help Eternus if it is possible and talks to her again.

Eternus says: Nozdormu, are you going to tell me you were right?
Nozdormu says: No.
Nozdormu says: Because I was not.
Nozdormu says: Moraidormi’s death was a tragedy. It should not have happened.
Eternus says: I did not see the whole truth. My sister… chose her fate.
Nozdormu says: As a steward of this timeline, I must always take the greater good and the free will of others into account.
Nozdormu says: But you reminded me, Eternus, that compassion must be considered. Some events are worth changing because our hearts wish it so. On that, I agree with the infinites.
Eternus says: You never wished to become Murozond. I wanted my Aspect, but I too must remember compassion. And it tells me to follow you… just as you are.
Eternus says: I will help you. But convincing the other infinites will take time.
Nozdormu says: That, Eternus, we have in abundance.
Chromie says: I knew I could trust you with this, <player>. Nice work!
