The World of Warcraft Dragonflight devs put out a update today saying they’re working on a fix for a game-breaking macro that allows players to play their interrupt spells without risk of error.
If you don’t play the macro, you can lose the ability to break your interrupt spell by doing so. The macro makes it impossible for you to miss your interrupt spell or overpoit yours with another player, or you will be able to give that a chance if your target doesn’t have an active spellcast.
WoWs who interrupt abilities (informally known as kicks) need to be lined up with enemy spellcasts, but human error is not able to solve problems when casting them. Nonetheless, when you use this macro, the accuracy is close at zero.

The macro was shown off in a video by WoW content creator Bicmex who used a hunting game to unify the Priest’s flash. Though it can be difficult to pronounce the lines of scripts in this macro, it can be more easily recognized as possible if you are using the interrupt spells in your kit. Even hard-coaches like Paladins or Monks Leg Sweep can theoretically be integrated into the macro code – making them extremely valuable and dangerous.
It is unclear how long this macro has been in the game or how long it has been been used by players.

The macro does excellent uses for both PvP and PvE content; it even trivializes the interrupting spells, which is a core gameplay mechanic in WoWand, and that makes for a good amount of skill expression and coordination in groups. With this in mind, it shouldn’t surprise me the fact that this issue is central to Blizzards.
Despite it, we strongly recommend not to use this macro. The smallest of the features of the game, but it can still be used for your benefit. By working around the game core mechanics like this, you risk a ban if you use it. Blizzard will fix this bug sooner rather than later.
