In an interview on Nov. 4 it announced that Lich King Classic servers won’t be used during launch of Cataclysm with the GLCC. The popular WotLK expansion is a huge hit, so many players are unhappy.
In a meeting with Blizzcon, the company shared many interesting information about three possible expansions The War Between, Midnight and Last Titany as well. As for Burning Crusade Classic servers, Blizzard will shut all WotLK-based server’ in order to concentrate on the new classic expansion.
Many players believe Blizzard should keep at least a few servers active, as many have considered it the best WoW expansion. During the original WotLK, globalization reached 11,5 million players.
Many of the current WoW players are considering changing to private servers, mainly ones that focus on this expansion. Even though some players manage to remain confident about the future, most of these will focus on that new expansion.

Although Blizzard has confirmed several times that it doesn’t have plans for WoTLK classic servers, the devs did mention they are open to fan feedback. It’s time to know whether or not they will even create classic servers of WotLK and TBC expansion.
Perhaps Blizzard could extract the pages from Everquest and create server-wide. Progression servers begin with the base game and each month, they add a new expansion so that players can experience it in order to start at once.
During its nearly 20 year running cycle, WW had many players come and go; most of them have an expansion they prefer. While it makes sense to focus on new expansions, Blizzard could create a couple of servers for those who are longing in the old days when WoW is built.
