- You wield my hammer, the Silver Hand. Bane of Ragnaros and Galakrond, I hope it serves you well.
With The Infinite Hand
- I know that hammer, but don’t recognize it. It makes me feel uneasy, please put it away.
With Truthguard
- Truthguard! Did Archaedas and Ironaya’s magic not protect Yrgrim?
These types of comments aren’t new to the game, but are always a pleasure to see, as though most of them are simple easter eggs, other give us an interesting glimpse into the characters thoughts, such as the Keeper’s reaction to seeing his personal weapon corrupted by the infinite timeline. This Season in particular, many players may have already noticed similar comments from the Tyr, the Infinite Keeper boss within Dawn of the Infinite, as well as several comments from Archdruid Glaidalis for each of the Druid artifact weapons.
- You wield a likeness of my Silver Hand, champion. But not with my skill.
Fighting Archdruid Glaidalis as a Druid
- I sense a powerful druid among you. You dare to challenge my authority?
What is that you hold, druid?
With Claws of Ursoc
- You fight with the fury of Ursoc himself! No… I will not be defeated!
With Fangs of Ashamane
- What power comes from those fangs, defiler? You fight with the strength of the Ancients themselves.
- You are blessed with great restorative powers, druid, but I will rip you all apart in the end!
With Scythe of Elune
- Your power burns… How have you twisted the Scythe of Elune to obey your will?
And many other characters throughout WoW have done the same, though this list is not nearly comprehensive, as there are dozens of similar references throughout the game, especially legendary weapons and artifacts.
In most cases, these weapons don’t even need to be directly used, as simply their transmog appearance will still trigger the dialogue. Some characters even have something special to say to those who completed certain questlines, such as Lady Moonberry and the Winter Queen both having unique dialogue for Night Fae characters in Patch 10.2, and Smolderon makes an announcement inside Amidrassil when approached by players who completed his quest to obtain Emberscar, Brand of Damnation in Legion.
- You shall fall to the very weapon you placed in my hands. An honor indeed, shaman.
