Public Work Orders will be a bit easier to place in Dragonflight Patch 10.0.7, no longer requiring Players to provide all reagents, only Soulbound ones.

Currently, Players must provide all Reagents needed to craft an item when placing a Public Work Order. However, Patch 10.0.7 loosens the restrictions on these orders, allowing them to be placed the same way Personal and Guild Orders are.

While Soulbound Reagents will still be the responsibility of the Player placing the order, Crafters can now use excess materials they may have in storage to assist in the process.

While it’s hard to argue against making the Crafting system more accessible to Players, this change may be controversial amongst Crafters. Given the recent changes to the amount of Public Work Orders you can complete, as well as the tendency for Public Orders to have very low commissions, it’s not hard to imagine scenarios where a Player may place an order without reagents added that is an actual loss for a Crafter to complete. Hopefully, this system will encourage Players to at least fully compensate a Crafter for the value of their Reagents.
