Up first is the Revival Catalyst, a system that does great things for Tier Set acquisition relative to the world where it didn’t exist, but is almost universally seen as a system that kicks in too late. Dratnos and Tettles discuss whether it would be better sooner, whether people would complain regardless of when it came out, and whether there might be creative solutions that would let Blizzard preserve the incentive to play the patch and power up your characters while still letting players access the exciting new bonuses quickly.

Valor points are the next subject of the wishlist, where a few tweaks to improve quality of life might be worth exploring, such as account-wide score requirements for Valor upgrades, earlier removal of the Valor Cap, or adjustments to the most expensive Valor upgrades like weapons. Dratnos also expands on an idea from a few weeks ago to add an uncapped currency that can be used to upgrade up to the 402 or 405 equivalent level and remove the painful bind that players find themselves in when they have a BiS item below ilvl 400 and have to choose between being wasteful with their Valor or farming another copy at higher level.

Drums are the next topic of conversation, with Engineering battle rez making an appearance too, as Tettles hopes to see both buffed to the convenience and power that they used to have – still less powerful than real lust and battle rez but less of a hurdle to group construction and to the potential M+ utility of specs lacking these tools.

Deterministic loot of some kind is the final item on the list, though Dratnos thinks that 10.1.5 might be the time for this, to let players get access to items that transform their characters and that they might otherwise only be rolling for in their Great Vault, or may be super unlucky and fail to receive even though they’ve cleared the content that drops it many times. Though this would pose challenges that would need to be adressed, such as the interaction with the Very Rare items, Dratnos thinks it would be a worthwhile pursuit to help players avoid feeling like they’re way behind until they finally get that item that just refuses to drop (or that they’re 5th in line for in their guild’s loot priority)!
