The Elemental pet battle on the bosses can be particularly tricky to defeat, but can be reduced in difficulty by defeating the surrounding pets in the area. Defeating one of these Elemental pet battle bosses on Rare difficulty (the easiest) will reward you with a battle pet version of that boss.
