Up first of course is the surprising announcement that Patch 9.2.5 will be coming out next reset! This caught a lot of players by surprise who were expecting more warning or a later patch, though it’s worth noting that a lot of the upcoming content like the Shrouded affix, Fated Raids, the item level bump, and the new Mythic+ Dungeon rotation are NOT coming right away and will instead be coming with the release of Season 4, which won’t be right away.
The biggest feature that will be coming right away is the implementation of Cross-Faction gameplay, which will let almost any premade content doable with players from both factions, though many players still have some reservations about swapping factions based largely on the fact that they’d not be able to stay in their guild. Though that restriction has been hinted as open for negotiation down the line, it will mean that some players who might otherwise take advantage of swapping factions won’t do so, at least right away. That being said, even if no players take advantage of Cross-Faction to swap factions, it will be huge for players that are having trouble finding groups in LFG (typically Alliance players in NA/EU and Horde in OCE).
