Castle Nathria Guide

Higher Item Level Loot

The final two bosses of Castle Nathria, Stone Legion Generals and Sire Denathrius, will be dropping loot that is 7 item levels higher than the rest of the raid. This equates to about half of the difference between raid difficulties (13 iLvL).

Here are the item levels that drop from the last two bosses.

Difficulty First 8 Bosses Item Level Last 2 Bosses Item Level
LFR 187 194
Normal 200 207
Heroic 213 220
Mythic 226 233

Item Level 233 is a higher reward than is possible from Mythic+ and PvP, which currently caps at 226 loot from the Weekly Great Vault Objectives. Since this isn’t an expansion ending tier, this does mean that you’ll get a small head start leading into the next tier with the higher loot!

Speaking of the Great Vault, it’s unclear whether or not the Great Vault can provide the higher item level loot.

Weapon Tokens

One of the items that will drop at a higher item level is weapons and offhands through weapon tokens.

  • Higher Item Level Offhand Tokens will drop off of the Stone Legion Generals
  • Higher Item Level Weapon Tokens will drop off of Sire Denathrius

This means that every class should have access to a higher item level weapon. This was a criticism from Ny’alotha and Hellfire Citadel where certain classes like Druids did not have access to a weapon with the highest possible item level.

Tasked with guarding Castle Nathria’s entry hall, the blind monster Shriekwing locates her victims with horrifying cries that reverberate off the chamber’s walls. The last sound heard by trespassers in the Grand Walk is the monster’s cry as she descends upon her prey.
