Today’s highlight is Lingering Echo of Tarecgosa!
This is a very special mount that some players have been waiting for over a decade to obtain. This mount is not a new model, but it is a standalone version of the transformation provided by Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa’s Rest, obtained from Firelands.
In order to obtain this mount, the player must complete the new Blue Dragonflight questline, added in Patch 10.1. The questline revolves around Kalecgos trying to reunite the Blues to help in the fight against the primalists.
Blue Dragonflight Questline Walkthrough
If the character has obtained the legendary staff Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa’s Rest, a follow-up quest chain will appear at the end of the questline. This quest chain is about the future of Tarecgosa’s soul. At the end of it, you are rewarded with this unique transformation.
Note that while this mount appears for every character you own, only characters that have the legendary staff and complete this bonus questline can use this transformation-mount.

This is the second legendary mount in the game, the first being the Black Qiraji Resonating Crystal.
Final Thoughts
When selecting the mounts for each day, I knew immediately that this one would be the final one for how special it felt. The Blue Dragonflight questline is some of the best quest design Blizzard has ever done, especially the final quest Rhapsody in Blue. If you enjoy WoW lore but haven’t done this questline yet, I highly recommend doing it.
