We don’t know much else about the event just yet, but it would appear to be some kind of community event in which players investigate rumors and search for missing treasure. Whatever the case may be, players will certainly be interested in collecting the achievements, which reveal some nice rewards!
Last week’s PTR build also included models for a new Adventuring Hat, very similar to that worn by Harrison Jones, Warcraft’s most famed archaeologist and explorer. Whether or not this is related remains to be seen, as the event does not mention the adventurer by name, but it certainly feels like something he would be involved in.
Despite all of the familiar characters making an appearance, Harrison Jones has yet to be featured in Dragonflight, though much of the story has focused on unveiling secrets of the past and his real life counterpart has a new movie coming out this summer, so it would be a perfect time for him to reappear. We last saw the intrepid adventurer during the Uldum Assault at the close of Battle for Azeroth, and he could really use the HD upgrade!
