If an Aqir in Thaldraszus isn’t interesting enough, Zal’kir the Chosen also stands out due to its title, The Maw of K’Tanth. Although it’s never been stated exactly what K’Tanth was, Xal’atath referred to the Battle of K’Tanth apparently taking place along the Broken Shore.
Xal’atath whispers
That fel edifice towering over this land pales in comparison to the grandeur of what stood here long ago.
Your allies consider me a bad influence. Yet all I’ve ever done is speed you along the path you chose.
Is this not the site of what you mortals consider your greatest humiliation? I hope you fare better this time…
This conflict is but a shadow of an ancient war that predated the meddling of the titans. Infinite armies clashed in ceaseless battle. But I’m sure your little war is impressive… in its own way.

It was here in ages past that the God of the Deep lost a great battle to the God of Seven Heads. But as was so often the case even defeat ultimately worked in N’zoth’s favor.
Combined with the suggestion that Xal’atath may be involved Iridikron’s plans at the conclusion of the Dawn of the Infinite mega-dungeon, this is giving us some very strong hints at where the story of Warcraft may lead to next!

Potential lore implications aside, Zal’kir the Chosen can be found within Ironormu’s Vault in Thraldraszus, which players will journey through during the Chronohammer Time! quest to repair Seashellamayne, the blade of Finduin… and if that sounds like gibberish, then you should definitely take some time to explore the new questlines in Eon’s Fringe on the western edge of The Temporal Conflux, because Patch 10.1.5 only gets stranger from there!
