I still think wow is a fun game to play. You can avoid all the monetization if you want as it is not forced on you. It definately is a different game nowadays though, that is undeniable

I props have more then three comment but like gosh darn, remember when that virus was going around with the dungeon glitch, this always makes me tear up, if anyone wanted to start a ting guild sometime this stuff was like my life and blood not because I wanted games like this but because I wanted this connection, oh darn how the world has changed

This was well thought out and the story told is the same experience for so many players. One day you log in and there's no one left that you knew, and all the real friends you made in the game are gone. Exit Now, indeed.

I played SWG and WoW is the game that pretty much killed off SWG and SoE, they made sure it happened by trying to copy Blizzard.

I begun to play in DF and i can feel the sadness in this vid. In 6 yrs i'll probably quit wow too, since the game will become more bloated. I can't imagine what it feels like seeing your favorite game slip away…

I remember so many stories of accidentally meeting people, having a great time and then playing more and more often together.

That never happened to me post cata, even in woltk it had already petered out.

Then i played swtor, and stuff like this was happening again. I came to realise that games who just focus on endgame and getting you there are just one dimensional and feel flat, whereas games like vanilla encourage you to meet, have fun and develop a reputation

I'm still mates with someone I met when BC came out. We started levelling together and doing Deadmines, loads of Crossroads pvp when we were higher lvl also woo hoo.

My first time logging in was in vanilla as a paladin. Appearing in Northshire Valley a duel challenge immediately popped up. There on the vendor tent was a rogue offering 1g to duel. The only thing I new how to do was chat so I typed, "I don't even know how to draw my sword!" Ah, the good 'ol days ..
