When you try to get back, the players of World of Warcraft are ferocious serial killers that stop at nothing and achieve only the same kind of achievement or other skill without a matching title. The biggest offenders are, as you might have known, PvPers. Since the start of Dragonflight, there has been a lot of discussion on the importance of rating in PvP, and here is what the Blizzard devs told it all about it.
A WoW player started a discussion today on the official Blizzard forum regarding the actual situation of Dragonflight season one. According to their post, the team explained that there are two main concepts the team looks at when considering PvP assessing inflation and mean.
The means rating is directly related to the means score and increases the mean score.
Players above the mean rating have the highest quality, while players below the mean rating deserve our support and respect. Under the hood, rating inflation increases mean rating over time, meaning that as soon as possible an average player will turn towards a rating of 1500, that number of players on the end of the season may rise to 1800, explained the dev.
With ratings of inflation, the players have been able to earn their given titles and their highers in a real way. As for the first Dragonflight campaign, which started on December 13-2022, Blizzard delayed the start of inflation until week 10 because the devs felt the need for more money to do so early. During this season, players will be on the lookout for the escapades to complete their gear sets.
As players continue to wrap up their task and finish their Conquest sets, inflation will peak at 20 rating per week to help dislodge people from the top of the ladder and reach whatever their seasonal goal might be, according to Blizzard.
