WoW Economy Weekly Wrap-Up
Hello! Welcome to the 117th edition of the WoW Economy Weekly Wrap-up!
Alt Season with 100% XP Buff!
Hopefully we are all safely inside and staying healthy during these unprecedented times. Blizzard have announced they are introducing a 100% XP boost that lasts until April 20th as a way to help players who are spending their time in Azeroth. Well, what does this mean for gold makers? Alts! Lots of them!
— Method (@Method) March 20, 2020
Easy alt levelling opens up many opportunities, both in players making them and needing enchants and equipment to purchase once they hit 110 and 120. Also, for our own reasons in being able to diversify Professions and specialist characters for dungeon runs, farm and the like.
In addition, this will hopefully bring more players back into the game looking for easy levelling opportunities and thus increasing the market. We already now have Essences being made account wide and lots of Allied races, so this is a perfect time to focus on either making an alt army yourself or providing supplies to the new fresh alts.
Vendors – Super Easy way to make Gold
Never underestimate the power of convenience. This simple fact was echoed by u/Zip-Zoop-Zop on making the most of providing common vendor items on the AH for the convenience of not having to buy them (subject to a little markup of course) …
All I do is buy a bunch of bfa trade goods from the vendor and sell them on the AH.
- fresh potato
- wild flour
- chemical blasting cap
- distilled water
- enchanting vellum
- insulated wiring
- light parchment
- nylon thread
- powdered sugar
- major’s frothy coffee
I usually buy about 1-2 thousand of each and 5000+ nylon thread and insulated wiring
I restock what i sell and keep posting what doesnt sell
I made a TSM group with everything in it to post quickly
I post once a day and leave the auctions up for 24 hours
make sure to not post less than vendorsell
hope this helps some people make easy gold
This gold-making method is well known, I had been doing this myself with some of the cooking materials. I tested it further on Shadowsong EU and saw some immediate sales, which is nice to see it still working. The TSM item string for these items is …
The price strings I used were.
Min Price – 120% vendorbuy
Max Price – 1000% vendorbuy
Normal Price – 200% vendorbuy
I use vendorBuy here because that is the price I am buying from the vendor and don’t want to go below that. The percentages here are very conservative, I’m sure on some servers they could be tested much higher. You can also use a Vendoring operation to restock these items too ..
If you want to take this further, there are many hidden gems throughout Azeroth. There used to be a great addon called NiconVendor, but sadly that no longer works. I recall having some good sales from the Sausage Vendor in Drustvar. Shirts are another good one, but watch out for posting fees!
Worth-It Updates and Routes Export/Import
DalaGG and Callan have been hard at work updating their Worth-It addon and have added a slew of updates to their addon that helps budding gold makers look for potential farms and methods to make some much needed gold.
Custom Farms: Is shown as “My Farms” in the drop down menu, which is to show all of your own personal farms and values the gold per hour for them before you do them.
Recorder: The recorder button on the “My Farms” tab will now bring up a window which records all of the items, raw gold and extras for you farming session once complete it will give you the ability to name said farm and edit any of the items within that session once edited to your preference you are able to save that farm to your “My Farms” tab for valuing.
Recorder Settings: Recorder settings are now set up much like the Bag Value Settings for ease of use. These Settings can be found in the Configuration Window/Tab.
Import / Export: Along with the Recorder and My Farms tab you are now able to export your farms you have created and share them between other users of the addon and intern they are now able to import these farms.
You will need to go to My Farms > Edit Selected Farm > Export
For Importing My Farms > Edit Selected Farm > Import
Notable Items: In the Transmog Module it now have an expandable tab for all farms showing Notable items you could potentially get from said Transmog farm giving other farmers the ability to choose by GPH and notable items for there session.
Expandable Tabs: These new tabs are located to the left of said farms and once pressed will give the Gold Farmer the ability to see how much of said items on Average they are likely to get from there farming session.
Dashboard Adding: You are now also able to display your own custom farms on your Dashboard for WorthIt through the Configuration tab.
Bugs / Fixes:
Value Adjustments (Transmog): if values cannot be pulled by desired / do not exist it will automatically choose a value closest matching realtime data.
Caged pets are not supported at this time for the recorder.
Overall I am very proud of this latest update for WorthIt and hope you like it all the same. Any Feedback or Support please Comment Here or come to the Discord for WorthIt Support. Special thanks toward Callan for helping develop the Addon with me.
Kind Regards, DalaGG
In addition to this, Callan has also created an extension for the popular Routes addon that allows you to import and export custom routes. This will be invaluable to the farming community in sharing popular routes.
