Wowhead's 2022 Pride Pin & Fundraiser to Benefit The Trevor Project

Wowhead's 2022 Pride Pin & Fundraiser to Benefit The Trevor Project

Donate to the Fundraiser via Tiltify

The 2022 Wowhead Pride Pin is designed to embrace and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community, their families and allies. Wowhead counts itself among them, recognizing the diversity within our staff and community. Each donation of $25 or more will allow you to grab this year’s Wowhead Pride Pin as a free gift, including worldwide shipping (when possible). You may donate any increment of $25 and receive up to FOUR pins. Just be sure to select the appropriate reward for your donation level. You can also donate without selecting a reward or even donate more than $100! This pin will not be available via the Wowhead Shop; the only way to acquire the pin is through the fundraiser running through June 2022.

If we reach the following targets, additional rewards will be unlocked for everyone:

  • $15,000: Pride Sticker
  • $20,000: Pride Magnet
  • $25,000: Random Bonus Pin

100% of all donations go directly to The Trevor Project via Tiltify, at no point does any of the donation pass through Wowhead’s (ZAM Network, LLC DBA Fanbyte) accounts.

Our 2022 Pride Pin, designed by Girma Moges, is a replica of our site’s rocket logo during the month of June. While rainbow capitalism has led to warranted skepticism of Pride logos, we think creating one is a visible way for our small team to support the LGBTQ+ members of our community, especially as we inhabit an industry space that historically has not been welcoming. Since our logo was very well received last year, we felt it appropriate to turn it into this year’s physical pin.

About The Trevor Project

The Trevor Project is the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning) young people. The organization works to save young lives by providing support through free and confidential suicide prevention and crisis intervention programs on platforms where young people spend their time: a 24/7 phone lifeline, chat, and text. The organization also runs TrevorSpace, the world’s largest safe space social networking site for LGBTQ youth, and operates innovative education, research, and advocacy programs.
